Default payment method

Orb exclusively uses the default payment method set in Stripe for transactions. This means:

• Only the payment method marked as default in Stripe will be used for charges.

• Other payment methods associated with the account, even if they are valid, will not be used if they are not set as the default.

Setting a default payment in Orb

When customers pay an invoice through the Orb invoice portal, they can save their payment method for future transactions.

Important considerations

• The Stripe customer must be linked to the Orb customer for the payment method to be picked up.

• Orb does not automatically select the first available payment method.

• If a payment method exists but is not marked as default, Orb will not use it for automatic payments.
